IRVINE, CA -- Project management software provider Project Insight (www.projectinsight.net) announces the release of version 9.3. The focus of this software update was to make Project Insight more customizable while maintaining the same high level ease of use. Project Insight is a mid-market online project management software that allows experienced project managers and new team members to access real time project data from any supported browser.

Project Insight version 9.3 includes over 20 new features and fixes. All new additions to the project software enhance the navigation experience for the end user. For example, project managers may add team members as resources to a project directly from the project add/edit form, reducing the number of clicks when initiating a project in the software. Other features that increase the usability in Project Insight include:

  •     New group by and sub-total options in comment reports
  •     Ability to update tasks directly from the calendar view
  •     Keyboard shortcuts when using the combo selection box

Due to many customer requests, Project Insight now allows the team to determine which custom fields may be edited by the team member assigned to them. Before, a team member could edit all fields or none at all. The project system administrators can now mark specific fields for editing by the person assigned, or leave a field to be marked as 'read only.' This feature provides the project team (http://www.projectinsight.net/project-management-software/benefits/proje...) with more control and flexibility to capture the data preferred.

"This release continues to reduce the number of clicks the end user performs in our software, continuing our development focus on true usability and flexibility of the tool. Project Insight maintains its leadership position in ease of use of the software for team members, project managers and executives alike," states Cynthia West, Vice President of Project Insight.

About Project Insight˙
Project Insight, web based project management software, is powerful for project managers, easy for everyone. Project Insight 9.0 offers three editions for flexible, scalable project management (http://www.projectinsight.net/project-management-software/features/compa...), hosted Workgroup, Professional and Enterprise. An on-premise or installed option is available with the Enterprise edition. Project Insight project management software follows Project Management Institute, Inc.'s (PMI) standards, and is compliant with the PMBOK® Guide (A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge).
